Commissioned for a group exhibition on audiovisual consumption spaces during the Divulgacine 2023 film festival in the city of Alicante.
Advanced Cinematography
Dance requires the human body, literature requires paper and a pen, cinema requires the camera, lights, microphones, projection rooms, cables, screens, cranes... it’s somewhat similar to architecture; it cannot be done solo, it requires collective effort and technology. Audiovisual content is not consumed on screens, but within a technological architecture. Initially, it was a shared space in a multiplex cinema, then it moved into the privacy of our living rooms, and now it resides in our pockets. Will this space eventually become nothing? A technology that occupies all spaces and therefore none? We believe technology will change everything, but it will never change that scene with which you always laugh or cry, even if you see it a million times.
