From a Trademark to a Lifemark

The proposal highlights certain characteristic features of both the natural and built environment (Cicigon voll and the Brygge) as well as the social university environment (technology) to enhance the sense of belonging and thus reconstruct a socio-economic identity linked to Kjøpmannsgata.
To achieve this, the proposal suggests three groups of strategic operations to be developed in different phases over time. The first two—transformation of the slope and reorganization of mobility in the area—fall under the category of URBAN HARDWARE, while the third—an urban strategies laboratory—falls under URBAN SOFTWARE.
